Description
The Mother Daughter Beach Day is open to all St Mary's Academy students and their mother or special female friend (aunt, grandmother, etc.). It will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017 with optional Friday night events on May 12, 2017.
Event Details
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited and a wait-list will be created as needed. The event typically sells out, so we suggest early registration!
The event theme will be “Rise Up” with Mauri Whalen, VP in the Software and Services Group and Director of Core System Development in the Open Source Technology Center at Intel Corporation as our guest speaker.
Be sure to wear your class colors (freshman = yellow, sophomores = blue, juniors = green, seniors = red). The optional Friday night events begin at 7:00pm and the schedule is listed below.
Saturday--May 13th (Main Event):
Saturday’s activities include: senior tributes to their mothers, a mother/daughter activity, buffet lunch, guest speaker, sand castle contest, photos, crafts, and a special closing event.
• 9:00 – 9:30 Registration, coffee and tea only (breakfast will not be served)
• 9:30 – 12:30 Welcome, senior tributes, guest speaker, and activity
• 12:30 – 1:30 Buffet lunch (covers most dietary restrictions)
• 1:30 – 3:00 Sand castle contest and hang out on the beach
• 3:00 – 5:00 Cookies, crafts, senior tributes and grand finale
Friday--May 12th (Optional)
Friday evening activities include bonfire and s’mores on the beach for mothers and daughters, then a social gathering for the mothers and optional activities for daughters. Please feel free to bring your own hot dogs to roast if you would like
• 7:00 pm – Bonfire and s’mores on the beach (mothers and daughters) On the beach in front of the Surfsand.
• 9:00 – 10:30pm - Mother’s social held at Cannon Beach Community Hall, 207 N. Spruce, Cannon Beach.
Options for Daughters: swim, hot tub, watch movies or hang out
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
Tickets are $47/person until April 11th when they go up to $52/person until April 28th when registration closes. The fee includes beverages, snacks and lunch. It also covers the cost of the hotel facility, guest speak
