Discreet and genteel, this downstairs restaurant is all soft carpeting, dim lighting, supple padded chairs and piano music. The waitstaff sails about in tuxes and serves from the right. The menu reflects a classical French-inflected style, offering mainstays like chicken Oscar, rack of lamb, chateaubriand and steak Diane prepared tableside.
