Cocktails take center stage at this glitzy lounge but that doesn’t mean the food gets short shrift. The downtown dining crowd slides into sexy red booths for edgy, inventive dishes such as elk tartare, wild boar nuggets and a black truffle burger stuffed with foie gras and brisket. Dishes such as wild mushroom chitarra pasta and bavette steak served with olive oil crushed potatoes please less adventurous palates. The fare complements an ever-growing list of inventive cocktails; well-heeled loft residents and laid back bar hoppers in flannel and jeans belly up to the bar for the prohibition era inspired Bee’s Knees or a cocktail grounded in the bar’s house infusions like strawberry vodka or espresso-infused bourbon.
