Gainesville feels like the hub of all things “new” as of late. Of course, this means a ton of new restaurants are hitting the Gainesville scene and will continue popping up until the spring of next year. Whether you're a fan of tacos, sushi, or wings, there's a little something for everyone with these new restaurants coming to Gainesville.

BTW Hurricane

There's currently a BTW Hurricane in The Standard, and a second will be opening on 39th Avenue near Santa Fe College. Already known for its Burgers, Tacos, and Wings, this location will offer the same food as the current location.

Cilantro Tacos Downtown and Cilantro Tacos Tioga

These will be the second and third-newest locations for the restaurant in Gainesville that people recognize primarily for its food truck. Here, “you’ll enjoy the tastefully marinated meats that go into all our dishes. You’ll savor the mild, spicy, and mouthwatering salsas that are created from scratch.”

Liquid Ginger

This Pan-Asian style restaurant will be the second one in Gainesville, and the newest location is set to open in Celebration Pointe. Besides their food, their $5 cocktail and wine happy hour is a win! All of their craft cocktails are $5, not just a select few.

Los Pollos Rotisserie Chicken

If rotisserie chicken is what you're all about, then Los Pollos is the place for you. This rotisserie chicken-centered restaurant will cook its chicken over a charcoal grill fire, and it will also serve steak as well as rice and beans.

PF Changs

You've most likely heard of PF Changs, but if you haven't, this chain restaurant is set to hit Gainesville in the next coming months offering curry, seafood, and wok-style cuisine.

Rascal Flatts Bar and Grill

Life is a highway, and Rascal Flatts wants to drive to Gainesville! The group, Rascal Flatts, is opening their newest restaurant location here. The group is also set to perform on opening day! The restaurant and bar will serve traditional Southern-style food from chicken and waffles to collard greens.

Reggae Shack

The highly successful Reggae Shack Café will be opening its second location, and the café’s claim to fame is serving the best Jamaican food in Gainesville. They're well-known for their towering onion rings as well as their massive burgers!

Sohao Street Fare Café

This Asian street fare café will be opening on 13th where Earth Fare used to be. Although there's not currently much information on what this restaurant will offer, it's definitely one to watch.

Stengel Field Food Hall

Last but certainly not least, Stengel Food Hall will house 12 local food vendors. These vendors will include a craft beer taproom and other food, floral, and beverage kiosks. French bistro, L’Avion, will also be among these kiosks. The theme of the food hall will be aviation after Gainesville's aviation history.

Keep in mind that these are all new restaurants and have not been constructed yet. Culver's, Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steakhouse, and 1000 Degrees Pizza are a few restaurants that have just recently been built in the Gainesville area.
